About Me

Game Designer with 3+ years industry experience

Since 2021 I have worked at Mighty Kingdom as a Game Designer specialising in Level Design. I've had the opportunity to work on multiple different projects for PC, console and mobile devices, and have worked in multi-disciplinary teams of various sizes. During this time I've also been privileged enough to mentor junior designers and graduates.

Other games I have worked on include Putty Pals (Harmonious Games 2017) as a Level Designer and Artist, and Ardent Roleplay (Ardacious Pty Ltd 2019) as a Quality Assurance Tester. I have also worked with the Magnificent Nerds agency to exhibit games at events including PAX Australia and Supanova.

Specialty in whimsical design and accessibility

I thoroughly enjoy creating whimsical and vibrant experiences that encourage experimentation with game mechanics. This has always been the cornerstone of my approach to game design, and it's through this that I'm able to iterate upon my designs to achieve the best possible results.

I'm also very passionate about accessibility in games, particularly as someone who has red-green colourblindness. I believe gaming experiences should be inclusive and welcoming to players from all different backgrounds, and I endeavour to achieve this whether it be through designing multiple control options or ensuring assets are clearly readable regardless of colour.

Love of exhibiting games and player feedback

The most exciting part of game design for me is when my games get into the hands of players and I get to experience their authentic reactions. I've had the opportunity to exhibit my games to players both locally at conventions and remotely through online playtests, and it's always the best feeling seeing your games bring together in light-hearted fun.

I also love using the data gathered from exhibiting games to inform my design decisions both on the games I'm currently working on and in future projects. Not only is it immensely useful for ensuring the games' development is headed in the right direction, but it's also extremely gratifying when something really resonates with a player and I experience that for myself.
